Review: To Catch a Leaf: A Flower Shop Mystery

To Catch a Leaf: A Flower Shop Mystery by Kate Collins
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
** spoiler alert ** As everyone knows, I am a BIG fan of Kate Collins. I have read every book in the Flower Shop Mystery series, and loved them. Although I liked this latest installment, I found some of the premises a touch irritating, in that some of the mystery elements seemed blatantly obvious. For example, I knew what the issue was with the cat from the very beginning, so considering that they are such great investigators, why didn’t Abby or Marco? Nevertheless, I loved the whole flower code element, and thought that it was quite ingenious. So, barring the little things, it is definitely worth a read, and I am going to continue supporting the series.

American Censorship Day: November 16, 2011
Today, Congress holds hearings on the first American Internet censorship system. This bill can pass. If it does the Internet and free speech will never be the same. Join all of us to stop this bill.
If this law passes, sites like Tumblr and Facebook could be shut down for letting users post freely. The government can order service providers to block websites for infringing links posted by any users. It becomes a felony with a potential 5 year sentence to stream a copyrighted work that would cost more than $2,500 to license, even if you are a totally noncommercial user, e.g. singing a pop song on Facebook. Join the protest to stop it.
